ND Legislature allocates $150,000 for passenger rail service project

The ND Legislature has allocated $150,000 to support the return of passenger rail service through Fargo, Jamestown, Bismarck, Dickinson, and Medora — all part of the proposed Big Sky North Coast Corridor from Chicago to Seattle.

This funding is North Dakota’s contribution to an $11 million federal planning effort under the FRA’s Corridor ID Program, putting the state at the forefront of restoring long-distance rail in America.
