Engaging Tribal and Rural Communities in the Development of Passenger Rail Services in Southern Montana - Lame Deer, MT

  • Little Wolf Capitol Building 600 Cheyenne Ave Lame Deer, MT 59043 (map)

Big Sky Passenger Rail Authority (BSPRA) invites you to a VERY important open public meeting about revitalizing our communities and region with new passenger rail service.  You will play an essential role in ensuring that our towns, communities, and region are heard and afforded consideration. BSPRA and MSU Local Government Center (LGC) are facilitating six community engagement meetings in rural and tribal Montana in Paradise, Ronan, Glendive, Forsyth, Lame Deer, and Crow Agency. The information gathered and the ensuing report will allow us to document how the restoration of passenger rail will contribute to the health and well-being of our respective communities. The report will be submitted to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and its recommendations will be submitted to Congress later this year, so this is on a very fast track!

These meetings are made possible by a grant awarded to BSPRA by the Montana Healthcare Foundation, "Engaging Tribal and Rural Communities in the Development of Passenger Rail Services in Southern Montana,". Your input is critical, needed, and valued! Aare invited to attend, food will be provided and virtual attendance is available.
